Hello once again!

I had forgotten that I had ever started a blog for our family. I just happened to run across this page as I was looking at another friend's blog. I'm really going to try to start journaling on this because I'm at the age where my mind is beginning to forget very easily (that sounds better than "I'm getting old and forgetful!"). This will be like a diary of sorts...now if I can just remember how to blog???














A lot has changed in our family since my last post in 2008. Our biggest news is the engagement of Nathan and Alyson. They were engaged in the fall of 09. We are absolutely thrilled with Nathan's choice for his life-partner and we cannot wait until May 22. 2010.


Alyson's parents and us, along with lots of Nathan & Alyson's friends, met the newly engaged couple after he proposed. It was a fun time to show off the ring and talk about wedding plans.


The Plainview shower for Nathan & Alyson was incredible. 21 very special friends were hostesses to the shower. I was humbled at the generosity of this small community of people who so graciously gave to my kids. These two will have a beautiful home and will have a well-stocked kitchen for their new home.

















We were able to go to San Antonio for the shower hosted by Alyson's parent's friends and it was equally as nice as their Plainview shower. After the shower, we ate at Casa Rio - the restaurant where we will have their rehearsal dinner. We are definitely on the countdown to the wedding and we are so excited. More details to come soon....
